Shadyside is a two story, four season house with views of Otsego Lake from almost every room, the front porch and the back deck. There are four bedrooms and two full bathrooms, as well as an open house plan with a large living room, dining room and brand new kitchen. In addition, there is a sitting room on the second floor with windows that overlook White's Creek as it tumbles through a rocky ravine on its way to the lake.
Sunnyside is a charming, three bedroom summer house with views of Otsego Lake from all of the front rooms, the front porch and the side deck. The house has one full bath and an open great room with a well-furnished kitchen, dining and living spaces.
Both houses are very nicely furnished and well stocked with plenty of pots, pans, dishes and flatware to make any cook happy. Both houses also have a washer and a dryer, and both have comfortable, old-fashioned rockers on their porches as well as gas grills and picnic tables on their decks.
Hyde Bay Colony on Otsego Lake Swim Docks Boat Docks Grounds
Hyde Bay Colony is nestled in a lovely, wooded site on Otsego Lake's peaceful eastern shore. We have a good, long stretch of shoreline which includes swim docks, boat docks, a small sand beach, as well as a grass lawn and a picnic pavilion above our sea wall. Our boat docks berth up to fifteen boats. Guests may bring and berth one boat which may be put in at one of ramps in the Village of Cooperstown. The trailer can be parked up in our old orchard. Our waterfront even includes a bonfire pit and a small building stocked with water toys and safety equipment, as well as racks for canoes and kayaks. Guests may bring canoes, kayaks and bicycles, but should not bring jet skis or all-terrain, off-road vehicles.
At various places around the colony we have a shuffleboard court with playing equipment, a huge sandbox with sand toys, and open spaces where guests can set up volleyball, bocci, or other lawn games.
The Colony is always peaceful, making it the perfect place for a relaxing vacation, yet a few minute's drive to the Baseball Hall of Fame, Cooperstown Dreams Park, Glimmerglass Opera, Farmers' Museum, Fenimore Art Museum, Bassett Hospital, Glimmerglass State Park, Clark Sports Center, Hartwick College and SUNY Oenonta, as well as many fine eateries, shops, hiking trails, golf courses, antiques, and so much more. All this in beautiful, rural Central New York!
Garden Guest Apartment In addition to our cottages, we also have a very charming guest apartment at our country home just outside the Village of Cooperstown. The Garden Guest Apartment overlooks the back meadow beyond the gardens, and the woods beyond the meadow, as well as the Leatherstocking Creek valley and the Brookwood Creek north ridge. It features an open plan with a complete kitchen, and very confortably furnished dining and living spaces, as well as a bedroom and a bethroom. Guests are welocme to enjoy the porches, patio, and gardens, or to hike the trail through the meadow and woods to the secluded Brookwood Creek.
Unfurnished Residences Apart from our vacation rentals, we also have three unfurnished residences for rent. These are not vacation homes, but regular, long-term residences.
We have a three-bedroom ranch house with a front porch, back deck and garage. The house also has a full basement and is carpeted throughout. This house is located in the Bowerstown area, about one mile from the Village of Cooperstown.
We also have a duplex home with two three bedroom townhouse-style apartments also with front porches, back decks and garages. Each apartment also has a separate basement and is also carpeted throughout. This house is located in the Pierstown area, about three miles from the Village of Cooperstown.

Baseball Hall of Fame Doubleday Field Hall of Fame Library
Many Cooperstown Visitors come to visit the National Baseball Hall of Fame and other shrines to our national pastime. The Hall of Fame Library opens onto Cooper Park and its famous statue of James Fenimore Cooper. Doubleday Field and many baseball specialty shops, including a wax museum, are also enormously popular with visiting baseball fans.

Cooperstown is home to the main offices of the New York State Historic Association, as well as its library and flagship museums. The Fenimore Art Museum holds many important historic, folk and contemporary American artists, as well as the Thaw Native American art collection. The Farmers Museum is an authentic living museum farming village set in the mid 1800s.
Glimmerglass Queen Pathfinder Statue Otsego Lake
Lakefront Park is favorite of residents and visitors alike. There are boat ramps and docks at Fish Lane and Fair Street. The park is home to our famous statue of the Pathfinder from James Fenimore Cooper's Last of the Mohicans. There is plenty of open space for kite flying and lawn games, as well as a bandstand for weekly concerts, and park benches for picnicing or just relaxing by the lake.
Village Offices Clark Foundation Office Otsego County Court House
Cooperstown is the seat of Otsego County government. The County Court House on upper Main was designed by xxxx in 18xx. It was completely restored in 19xx and is well worth a visit. The Village municipal building on the corner of Main and Fair houses the village offices as well as the public library, police station, and an art gallery. The Clark Foundation offices are also on Main Street across from the library.

Lake Front Park is host to Summer Concerts in the Park, our Hometown 4th of July Celebration, the Summer Lake Festival, our wonderful Pumpkin Festival and Pumpkin Regatta, and many other special events. Even though Cooperstown is a small, rural village, there are always wonderful things to see and do here. Its a great place to call home, or even home-away-from-home.
