Welcome to Lake & Country Cottages
Our two charming lake Cottages are part of Hyde Bay Colony on the peaceful, eastern shore of Otsego Lake in Cooperstown, New York. They are the perfect vacation rental homes when you are visiting the greater Cooperstown area and other points in beautiful Central New York.
Both houses are just a short drive to the Village of Cooperstown, the Baseball Hall of Fame, the Glimmerglass Opera, the Baseball Dreamspark, the New York State Historical Society Headquarters, the Farmers' Museum, the Fenimore Art Museum, the Clark Sports Center, and many wonderful local shops, resturants, antique dealers, recreation sites, live theater, colleges, and so much more- all in rural Central New York.
Sunnyside Cottage
Sunnyside has three bedrooms which will sleep up to seven people, and two full bathrooms. The great room has a complete kitchen with dining for six, and a comfortable living area. The front porch has wonderful views of the lake, as does the side deck. Although Sunnyside is centrally located in a sunny spot in Hyde Bay Colony, the deck is shaded by large oak and maple trees.

Shadyside Cottage
Shadyside has four bedrooms and will sleep up to ten people. There are also two full bathrooms, as well a well stocked kitchen, and comfortably furnished living and dining rooms, all of which are bright and airy and open into each other. The house has an upstairs sitting room, a very large front porch and a large, shaded back deck. Shadyside is privately set in a wooded spot with views of the lake. The back deck overlooks a brook that babbles peacefully as it tumbles through a ravine before it empties into the lake.

Hyde Bay Colony
Hyde Bay Colony is a lovely wooded site on the eastern shore of Otsego Lake. We have a 650' long stretch of waterfront which includes our docks, a sandy beach, a grassy lake front lawn and a bonfire pit. We also have a shady picnic area above our seawall, and other recreational areas away from the water front. These include a shuffleboard court, and open spaces where guests can set up volleyball or other activities.

Cooperstown, New York
Cooperstown, New York is the quintessential small town of America. Our Main Street is lined with trees and with buildings erected before 1900. The storefronts invite you into small, independent shops and wonderful eateries. We have public parks with trees and statues and benches, the people are friendly, and we still fly the Flag.

Eastport, Maine
Eastport is a charming old fishing village in Downeast Maine. It is the northernmost city in Maine on the Atlantic Ocean and the easternmost city in the United States. Our house is also old, simple and very charming. This is a great place for quiet relaxation or as a home base for visiting Downeast Maine and the Bold Coast. New Brunswick, Canada is also easily reached by ferry or car. Please contact us for more information.
St. Augustine, Florida
St Augustine is the oldest city in the United States, first settled in 1565. The city is steeped in history and has lovely Spanish influence. Our house is in a lovely residential neighborhood within walking distance of the open Atlantic Ocean beach! This is a great place to stay for visiting historic St. Augustine or white sand Atlantic beaches. There are many attractions within an easy drive including the National Golf Hall of Fame.
